Protests Erupt In Old City After Release Of Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh
MLA Raja Singh's controversy intensified with extreme protests in Old City, on August 24. Muslims across the Old City gathered and protested demanding action against the suspended BJP MLA Singh over his 'Prophet Muhammad' remark. To control the situation, police shut down petrol pumps in the Old City, especially the Nampally Court, which rejected his remanded order of Singh, and ordered for his release.

Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh Sent To 14-Days Judicial Custody
Suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh has been sent for 14-days of judicial custody for his controversial remark against Prophet Muhammed. Arrested by the Hyderabad Police on August 23, the BJP MLA will now be under police custody till September 7, after he was produced before the Nampally Criminal Court. Asaduddin Owaisi Takes Dig At BJP, Says They Hate Prophet Muhammad
The BJP MLA Raja Singh's hate remark against Prophet Muhammed created controversy. After the incident, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said, "BJP hates Prophet Muhammad and Muslims. They want to destroy the social fabric of India." Owaisi also said, if the BJP wants to fight, they should do politically and shouldn't support, but react to such hate comments against religion.
