Lionel Messi Suspended, PSG Not To Renew Contract With Messi

Paris St Germain (PSG) forward Lionel Messi will not have his contract renewed at the club, confirmed local sources. The decision of not to renew the contract was taken amid an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia. Notably, Messi signed an optional third-season clause in his contract when he first arrived in 2021. Club officials have decided not to activate it. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old was suspended for two weeks.
