In the latest development ahead of the 2022 UP assembly election, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on November 1 announced that he's decided not to contest in the election. He also said, ''Our alliance with RLD is final. Seat sharing is to be finalised.'' Furthermore, Akhilesh added he ''don't have any problem'' to fight with his uncle Shivpal Yadav's Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) in the upcoming election.
