Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan Likely To Be Arrested
Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan is likely to be arrested on February 20, in connection to a prohibited funding case. A Pakistani news channel confirmed a four-member team has been formed to arrest Khan. Furthermore, Khan will be arrested by Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) with the help of Lahore police. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.

Imran Khan Assasination Rumours, Islamabad Police On High Alert
The Islamabad Police is on high alert, after the rumors of the assassination of the former Pakistan PM Imran Khan. Notably, on June 5, Khan is scheduled to visit Gani Bala in Islamabad, following which section 144, restricting gatherings has been imposed. Furthermore, the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leaders said, If Imran Khan is attacked it will be an attack on Pakistan, amid his refusal to sell the country, said Faisal Vawda.

Pakistan's External Debt At All-Time High Of USD 130.6 Billion; PTI Govt Tops
Pakistan's external debt reached an all-time high of USD 130.6 Billion by end-December 2021. The PTI government tops the list amongst the last four administrations in the country with the highest external borrowing of around USD 52 Billion in its three year rule. Followed by the PML-N which borrowed USD 49 Billion in five years. PPP falls in third place for borrowing a total of USD 25 Billion.

Opposition Demands PM Imran Khan's Resignation Over 'Bad Governance'
Pakistan's opposition, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz on December 21, demanded PM Imran Khan's resignation. She asked Khan to resign over bad governance and high inflation and slammed PTI led Government. Nawaz said due to their economic policies they faced defeat in local bodies elections and in future, no one will contest on PTI ticket. She further asked PM Imran Khan to resign with dignity and take claim.

In Presence Of Imran Khan, PTI Leader Slaps Cop; Get Arrested
Amir Khan Swansi, a local Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf leader from Mianwali, slapped a policeman during a rally of PM Imran Khan's party PTI here on December 13. Reportedly, the incident happened when the cop stopped Swansi for a security check. The District Police Officer (DPO) said Swanis was later arrested after a case was registered against him. However, Amir Khan reacted saying, "It was a politically motivated move.''

PTI Services Down For Hours As Servers Face Ransomware Attack
India's premier news agency Press Trust of India's services were down for hours as it recently suffered a ransomware attack. The ransomware, identified as 'LockBit', breached the agency's server at 10 PM on October 24. Reportedly, 'LockBit', whose origin is unknown, stopped delivery of PTI news to subscribers and demanded ransom to resume services. Prasar Bharati Discontinues Association With PTI, UNI
Citing rationalization of expenditure, Prasar Bharati (PB) has planned to discontinue subscriptions to services of PTI and UNI. Reportedly, current subscriptions were on an ad-hoc and pro-rata basis as contracts with PTI and UNI had ended in 2006.
