'Battlegrounds Mobile India' Reaches 10 Million Downloads

The official version of "Battlegrounds Mobile India," the Indian counterpart of PUBG Mobile, has been launched in India on July 2. PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020. The official version has finally been released and can be downloaded from the Google Play store. As of July 2, 10 million people have downloaded the game on the same day.

Tik Tok Approaches PMO, IT Ministry For Re-Launch In India

As PUBG made a comeback in India, TikTok is also in talks with the Indian government for the re-launch of their application in India. TikTok’s parent company ByteDance has approached IT Ministry & PMO officials, and has assured to comply with the new IT rules required for Social Media Platforms. Last year in July, government banned over 250 apps including TikTok due to the user privacy and national security reasons.

PUBG Rebrands Itself For India Release, Shares Teaser Of Sanhok Map

Indian PUBG fans have geared up for its release as the game developer Krafton posted a new teaser of the Sanhok map on their official Facebook page. The Indian version of PUBG named 'Battlegrounds Mobile India' has been exclusively curated to serve the Indian audience as per the GoI regulations, and will have some changes in the gameplay. The app has also introduced new regulations for children and teenagers.

Mangalore: 17-Yr-Old Kills Class 6 Boy After Losing PUBG Game

A class 6 student from Mangalore was killed by a 17-year-old boy over a PUBG game. Reportedly, the former had accused the later of cheating while playing the game online; so the two met on April 3 to play in-person. Later, when the teenager lost, they involved into a fight, during which the accused hit the victim with a large stone. Meanwhile, police said they are probing the case.

PUBG Mobile 2 Likely To Be Launched Globally By February End

As a sequel to the PUBG mobile game, Krafton's much-anticipated PUBG Mobile 2 will reportedly be launched by the end of this week. The overhauled version of the game will come in a futuristic setting while retaining the base format of battle royale gameplay. Based on the year 2051 and probably be launched for iOS and Android, the game will house brand-new maps, futuristic weaponry, drones and gizmos as part of the core game format.

PUBG To Shut Servers, End All Services In India On October 30

PUBG Mobile has announced to shut its servers and end all the services in India from October 30. The game was already pulled down from the Play Store and App Store following the Indian government order in September. However, the in-game servers were intact and people, who already had it downloaded, could play the game till now. Earlier, PUBG had end its association with China's Tencent Games but could not secure resumption.
