'No Jabs, No Job' Says Fiji's PM

Amid the breakout of the Delta Plus variant strain, Fiji has made coronavirus vaccination mandatory for all workers. The Prime Minister, Frank Bainimarama issued a direct message addressing the employees saying "no jabs, no job." All the public sector employees in the South Pacific nation as well as the private sector employees must have their first jab by August 15. Besides, Bainimarama has denied imposing lockdown in the country.

Uttarakhand Congress Alleges Centre of Conspiring Against Public Sector

Suryakant Dhasmana, vice-president of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee, accused the Centre of 'conspiring' against the public sector by boosting privatization. Speaking at a rally organised to protest privatization of Railways, he alleged that the Modi government intends to “cripple the public sector”. “Like Coal India, government is preparing to auction BSNL, Air India and Indian Railways,” he added, Congress would not allow that.
