Pulwama

In another attack on Kashmir Pandit incident, a bank security guard named Sanjay Sharma was shot dead. On February 26, terrorists fired upon him, leaving him critically wounded.  He was admitted to a hospital in Pulwama but succumbed to his injuries, confirmed a senior police official. The deceased belonged to a minority group and has been identified as Sanjay Sharma, son of Kashinath Sharma, who worked at bank for 40-years.

In a grenade blast in J&K’s Srinagar, several civilians have been injured on August 22. Reportedly, the incident occurred at Nishat area when the bomb was hurled, causing a low intensity blast. Reportedly, the injured are being treated, and a search to nab the accused are underway. Meanwhile, IEDs weighing 10-12 kgs have been recovered from Pulwama district, evading a major blast.

A cricket competition for differently abled players on July 28 was held in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, with the goal of boosting their confidence that they can compete at the national and international levels. The tournament's organizer stated, "Our aim is that they should not consider themselves lesser than anybody." A participant in the cricket match stated that their skill is being showcased to the public through this event. 

In the SI Farooq Ahmad's murder case, three accused have been arrested in J&K's Awantipora, on June 25. Furthermore, a pistol was recovered from their possession. An enquiry revealed that the accused conspired with terrorist Majid Nazir Wani of Ladhoo, and committed the murder in collaboration. Also, the accused were all neighbours of late SI Farooq Ahmad. In Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants were killed in an encounter, confirmed by police.
