Punjab CM To Send 36 Principal To Asian Country For Skill Enhancement
CM Bhagwant Mann announced that 36 principals from Punjab will have the opportunity to visit Singapore for professional training. The decision was taken to enhance the education system of Punjab, as this principal will get training and enhance their skills. The 36 school principal will head to Singapore on February 4, said the Punjab Government. The Punjab government aims to help lakhs of students from across the state.

Punjab CM Approves Hike In Minimum Wages Of Construction Workers In State
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann gave nod to hike the minimum wages of construction workers by Rs 715 per month. The decision to this effect was taken during a review meeting of the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Moreover, minimum wages of unskilled workers have been hiked to Rs 9,907 from existing Rs 9,192 whereas that of semi-skilled have been enhanced to Rs 10,687 from Rs 9,972.

Punjab CM Announces Rs 40 Lakh Cash Prize For Weightlifter Harjinder Kaur
The Punjab Government announced Rs 40 Lakhs for weightlifter Harjinder Kaur, on August 2. CM Bhagwant Maan announced the money for the victory of Kaur at the Commonwealth Games 2022, after she won a bronze medal, at Birmingham, England. Furthermore, CM Maan stated that the government is committed to encouraging those who excel in sports and that these athletes will be given cash prizes for their efforts.

Punjab CM Mann Sacks Health Minister From Cabinet Amid Corruption Charges
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann removed State Health Minister Vijay Singla amid corruption charges. On May 24, the CM took the decision to remove Singla from the state cabinet, after he was alleged for taking one percent commission for tenders. Furthermore, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab Government ordered a police investigation against Vijay Singla. Maan said, "I am taking strict action against the minister. I am removing him from the cabinet".

Stop 'Mere Sloganeering' & Support State Govt, Says Punjab CM Mann To Protesting Farmers
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on May 17, asked the farm unions to stop 'mere sloganeering' and join hands with the state government for checking the depleting water table. Mann categorically said that his doors are open for talks with the farmers but hollow slogans can't break his firm resolution to check the further depletion of water table. Notably, he announced the purchasing of Basmati and Moongi Crop on MSP.

Violence Breaks Out At Shiv Sena's Rally In Patiala
Violence broke out near the Kali Mata temple in Patiala on 29th April as two groups clashed. The situation grew tense when the Shiv Sena party took out a procession, but without any permission. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann called the incident "unfortunate." In a tweet, he wrote, "Punjab's peace and harmony are of utmost importance." He also noted that peace had been restored in that area.

Punjab CM Mann To Visit Delhi Schools, Mohalla Clinics
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to visit Delhi, on April 18. During the visit, Aam Aadmi Party leader Mann will view Delhi schools and Mohalla clinics. The announcement of Mann's visit came after Arvind Kejriwal said, his AAP has worked for the enhancement of the education sector in Delhi, that people across India visit to see the same. He highlighted, that recently TN CM MK Stalin also visited Delhi for the same.

Punjab CM Demands Inclusion Of Chandigarh To Punjab State, Passes Resolution
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann urged the Central Government to immediately transfer Chandigarh to Punjab. In regard to this, on April 1, the Punjab Assembly passed a resolution and said, "for maintaining harmony and taking the sentiments of people into account, this House once again recommends to raise the matter with Central government to immediately transfer Chandigarh to Punjab". The issue is pending with the BJP-led Government.

Punjab Assembly Calls For Special Session: Chandigarh Issue
The Punjab Assembly will convene a special session on April 1. As per sources, CM Bhagwant Mann will introduce a resolution in the matter pertaining to the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Earlier, centre announced to make central service rules applicable to the employees of Chandigarh. CM Bhagwant Mann revolted against the decision and called it a violation of the Punjab Reorganisation Act. The session will be held at 10 am.
