Amarinder Singh Meets Ajit Doval Amid Ongoing Punjab Crisis

Former Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on 30th September in Delhi. The duo held deliberations over Punjab border security amid political turmoil in the state, sources suggest. Captain on 29th September also had a word with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, where the two discussed the Farm laws and possible ways to halt the 11 month long Framer's protest.

Punjab Cong Chief Navjot Sidhu Resigns, After Dethroning Amarinder Singh

Navjot Singh Sidhu, on September 28, resigned as the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, two and a half months after assuming the post. In a letter addressed to Sonia Gandhi, Sidhu said, "The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for Punjab's welfare." He said he will continue to serve Congress.
