DC Vs Punjab Kings Match Shifted To Mumbai Stadium Amid COVID-19 Fear: IPL

To avoid distant bus journeys amid COVID-19 fear, the BCCI shifted the venue of April 20 IPL match between Delhi Capitals Vs Punjab Kings XI to Mumbai stadium from Pune. An official statement regarding the same read, "Delhi Capitals' upcoming match against Punjab Kings on Wednesday has been shifted from Pune to Mumbai and will now be played at the Brabourne Stadium. Furthermore, DC's COVID-19 players are in isolation.

Punjab Kings' Skipper KL Rahul Diagnosed With Appendicitis; Hospitalised

In-form Punjab Kings’ skipper KL Rahul has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and is set to miss the remainder of IPL 2021. Reportedly, Rahul complained of severe abdomen pain following which he was admitted to the hospital. Leading run getter in the tournament with 331 runs, the wicket-keeper batsman has also hit four half centuries. Currently, Mayank Agarwal or Chris Gayle are likely to be the front runners.

Ben Stokes Out Of Remaining IPL 2021 Due To Broken Finger

Rajasthan Royals' Ben Stokes will miss the remainder of the IPL 2021 as he suffered a broken left-hand finger injury in a match against Punjab Kings on April 12. The all-rounder sustained the injury while diving forward to take a catch of Chris Gayle. As per sources, Stokes is being assessed by Royals' medical staff and will stay with the squad to provide "support and inputs off the field".

IPL 2021: Kings XI Punjab Changes Its Name, Now Becomes Punjab Kings

Ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting in April 2021, Kings XI Punjab has renamed itself to 'Punjab Kings'. Reportedly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has duly ratified the name change of the franchise. While the reason behind the rebranding remains unclear, the actor Preity Zinta-owned franchise is planning a major 're-launch' in Mumbai before the IPL 2021 auction scheduled on February 18.
