Punjab Govt Approves Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme
The Punjab Cabinet led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann gave approval to start the Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Darshan scheme (CM pilgrimage scheme) to enable the people of the state to visit various pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost from the upcoming 'parkash purab' of Sri Guru Nanak Dev on November 27. The Cabinet also gave its nod to introduce the Punjab OTS scheme for settlement of pre-GST.

Punjab Minister Says Only AAP Can Compete Against BJP
The Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, only Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) can compete against the BJP. On September 14, Singh cited the political turmoil in Goa, as eight of eleven Congress MLAs joined the BJP. He said, Congress has surrendered before the BJP, and now only Arvind Kejriwal's AAP can compete against the BJP in the General 2024 elections.

Sacked Punjab Minister Vijay Singla Sent For 14-Days Judicial Custody
Former Punjab Health Minister and AAP leader Vijay Singla have been remanded 14-days of judicial custody. On May 27, a Mohali Court granted custody in corruption charges. The judgment came after he was produced before the court for demanding 1% commission for projects in Punjab misusing his position. Notably, Singla was arrested by the anti-corruption branch and was sacked from the cabinet ministry by CM Bhagwant Mann.
