In a major breakthrough, SSOC-Amritsar in a joint operation with Central agency busted a LeT module and arrested 2 persons who are residents of J&K. 2 IEDs, 2 Hand Grenades, 1 pistol with 2 Magazines, 24 cartridges, 1 Timer Switch, 8 Detonators & 4 Batteries recovered. The terror module was handled by Firdaus Ahmed Bhat, an active member of the Lashkar-e-Toiba. The details were confirmed by Punjab Police.

A lookout circular (LOC) has been issued against Manpreet Singh Badal, the former Punjab Finance Minister. Getting into the details, the lookout circular was issued in an alleged corruption charge. Nearly four months after a heritage cannon weighing around 250 kg went missing from the premises of the Gazetted Officers’ Mess of the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) in Chandigarh’s Sector 1. They apprehended three people, including a cook and a minor, for allegedly trying to sell it to scrap dealers, identified as Subham Sharma(23,) a constable with the 82nd Battalion of the PAP, and Sanjay Kumar(29,) a DJ from Kaimbwal.

The Bathinda Military Camp fire incident saw an update after the Punjab Police and Army official detained the accused for killing four jawans. Notably, the police detained one Gunner Desai Mohan, an army personnel posted at artillery unit. The police said Desai confessed to his crime that he stole bullets to kill four collegues. As per the initial investigation, personal reasons could be the reason behind the crime, details awaited.

The chase for Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh is still underway. The Uttarakhand Police, Punjab Police and now the Delhi Police also searching for Singh. Notably, Amritpal Singh escaped the Punjab Police and left the State, and entered the national capital.
