Double-Decker Bus Collides With Parked Bus In Purvanchal Expressway; 6 Dead, 12 Injured
In Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki, a double-decker bus collided with a parked double-decker bus in Purvanchal Expressway, in the morning of July 25. The accident has claimed the lives of six passengers, and left over a dozen injured. The police and rescue teams rushed to the spot, and the injured were taken to CHC Haidergarh for treatment. Reportedly, the bus was going to Delhi from Bihar.

PM Modi Inaugurates 341 KM-long Purvanchal Expressway In UP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 16 inaugurated the 341 kilometre-long Purvanchal Expressway at Karwal Kheri in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur. He arrived at the venue in a c-130 Hercules plane which landed at the 3.2 km long airstrip built on the expressway. During the ceremony, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel was also present. The 6-lane expressway starts from Lucknow's Chaudsarai village and ends on NH 31.

340 Km Long Purvanchal Express Highway To Be Launched By PM Modi Next Week
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the 340 km long Purvanchal Express highway next week, said Uttar Pradesh's industrial development minister Satish Mahana. The expressway would start from Lucknow's Chand Sarai village and end in Ghazipur's Haidariya village. The project of the expressway reportedly costed around Rs 22,494.66 crore. Notably, the expressway can also be used by Indian Air Force for landing aircrafts.
