China Reports First Case Of Monkeypox Virus
China has reported its first case of the Monkeypox virus in the southwest city of Chongqing. Reportedly, the patient was already under COVID-19 quarantined following an international travel. The Chinese authorised have not disclosed the details of the patient, as to name, age and sex. The officials stated that the patient is being isolated and provided with adequate treatment. Further details are awaited.

Belgium, The First Country To Impose A Mandatory 21-Day Monkeypox Quarantine
Belgium is the first European country to impose a 21-day quarantine for monkeypox patients. This follows the discovery of the first monkeypox case in Switzerland on May 21. Currently, 14 countries, including four in Belgium, have reported recurrent outbreaks of the virus. All of the incidents were traced back to a festival in Antwerp, Belgium's port city.

IPL Teams To Begin Practice For 15th Edition In Mid March: BCCI
IPL teams are set to begin practice for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) from March 14-15, confirmed BCCI, after a meeting with the Maharashtra Government. All the 10 IPL teams are likely to reach Mumbai by March and will follow a 5-day mandatory quarantine. All the players will undergo RT-PCR tests thrice, on different days, following which they will enter their respective bubbles.

Bali Plans To Change Quarantine Rules For International Travelers

Megastar Chiranjeevi Tests COVID-19 Positive With Mild Symptoms
Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi on January 26, took to Twitter to announce that he has tested positive for Covid-19. "Dear all, Despite all precautions, I have tested Covid-19 Positive with mild symptoms last night and am quarantining at home," Chiranjeevi wrote. Earlier in November 2021, tested positive due to a faulty testing kit. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi will be seen in the movie 'Acharya' which is going to release on April 1.

Former Cricketer Harbhajan Singh Tests COVID-19 Positive
Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to Twitter, Singh said, "I've tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms. I have quarantined myself at home and taking all necessary precautions." Israel Announces Travel Ban For Foreigners For 14 Days: Omicron
Amid the concern of COVID-19's Omicron variant, Israel announced a travel ban for foreigners for two weeks in the country. The decision was taken at a corona cabinet meeting on November 27.
