As the COVID-19 cases are rising in Kerala, Goa on September 12 made the five-day quarantine mandatory for those who're coming from Kerala. Following the quarantine, they've to undergo an RT-PCR test. The government also extended the 24-hour statewide curfew until September 20 and banned Casinos' opening. However, no quarantine is required for health care professionals, kids below two years of age, and in case of a medical emergency.

Indian football club Bengaluru FC has come under scanner for flouting quarantine rules in the Maldives. Calling it an unacceptable behavior, Maldives Sports Minister Ahmed Mahloof asked the team to leave the country in his May 8 tweet. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru FC owner Part Jindal has apologised on behalf of team. Reportedly, the club was to face Maldives' Club Eagles in an encounter scheduled on May 11.

Jana Sena Party officially confirms on April 11, actor Pawan Kalyan has self-quarantined after his chief executives and personal security staffs tested positive for COVID-19. The BCCI on September 18 accepted the request from Australia and England players to reduce the quarantine period to three days. With this, the players can be available for their IPL franchise right from the beginning of the tournament. However, those arriving at the UAE will have to undergo 6-day quarantine. Moreover, the players will be allowed to play their first match only if they test negative on September 19.

On September 16, the Hawaiian Governor David Ige announced that tourists can skip the 14-day quarantine if they test negative for COVID-19. The move, which comes into effect from October 15, mandates travellers to undergo a COVID test within 72 hours prior to their flights. The step has been taken to revive the state’s tourism, badly hit by the pandemic which has left one-quarter of the workforce jobless.
