UP Bags Best R-Day Tableau Award; Tripura Wins 2nd, Uttarakhand 3rd
Uttar Pradesh's tableau for the Republic Day parade has been awarded the first prize by the Centre. The tableau themed 'Ayodhya: Cultural Heritage of Uttar Pradesh' exhibited the design of Ram Mandir. The tableaux of Tripura and Uttarakhand bagged the second and third spot respectively. 50 Years Of 1971 War: Bangladeshi Soldiers To Parade On Republic Day
To mark 50 years of the 1971 war, wherein Indian and Bangladeshi soldiers fought shoulder to shoulder, 122 Bangladeshi soldiers will participate in the Republic Day Parade on January 26. "Together We Fought, Together We March" tweeted Indian Army on January 11, informing that the Bangladeshi soldiers have departed for India. Interestingly, this will be the first time when any Bangladeshi contingent will march on the Rajpath.
