Indian cricket coach Rahul Dravid spoke about IPL and WTC clash and likely challenges of Team India. On March 13, Dravid said, "laying the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia within one week of the IPL's conclusion is going to be a huge challenge. He said, "We just qualified at lunchtime today. I wasn't counting my chickens before they hatched. We'll celebrate this for starters," 

The Board of Control from Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to take a decision on the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah, for the T20 Internationals ICC World Cup. Notably, after the recent injury of Bumrah, he has been ruled out of the tournament. Moreover, the team India head coach, Rahul Dravid said, "We still have time and Shami is on standby". The tournament is set to begin from October 23.

During the three days, T20I series match India came close to making 2-0 in the lead against Sri Lanka. The Indian squad is planning to make a different plan for this year's T20 World Cup in Australia. The team will head to head in the starting eleven at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the predicted XI players include Rohit, Jadeja and Shreyas (man of the match India-Sri Lanka).
 

Rahul Dravid applied for head-coach position on October 27. He met BCCI brass in Dubai on IPL final. Dravid said he needed to discuss with his family. BCCI has long wanted Dravid to succeed Shastri, but the National-Cricket-Academy chief claimed he had a young family to care for and hence couldn't dedicate as much time to touring. Home-series against New Zealand, commencing on November 17, to be led by Dravid. 

Former Indian cricket team captain, Rahul Dravid will take over the position of head coach of the Indian cricket team, and replace Ravi Shashtri, after the T20 World Cup in UAE. Reportedly, BCCI wants Dravid to take up the responsibility till 2023. Bowling and fielding coaches' tenure will also end after the T20 World Cup. "Dravid is the best choice for the Indian team at the moment.", said BCCI.
