Farmers To Hold ''Rail Roko'' Programme: Lakhimpur Kheri Violence
The Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has announced that Famers will block railways tracks for 6 hours starting from 10 AM in the country on October 18. Reportedly, the ''rail roko'' program was planned to protest against the Union Minster Ajay Mishra's membership in BJP. Farmers made him the accused of criminal conspiracy that led to the killing of fours farmers and a journalist in Lakhimpur Kheri.

20,000 Extra RPF Forces Deployed Ahead Of Farmers' Rail Roko
Ahead of the Rail Roko stir on February 18, the Indian Railways have deployed additional 20,000 Railway Protection Special Forces personnel across the nation. Especially focusing on Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengal, the RPF DG Arun Kumar appealed to maintain peace. The rail blockade from 12 noon to 4 PM was announced by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) demanding the Centre to repeal the three contentious farm laws.

Farmers Extend 'Rail Roko' Movement in Punjab Till September 29
Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti on September 26 announced that the 'Rail Roko' movement has been extended till September 29. Its Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher said members from women's group and the youth will join the protest on September 27 and 28 respectively. He claimed that they would not allow any political leader to address the farmers. Farmers in Punjab have started the movement demanding the withdrawal of the Farm Bills.
