18 Year Old Engineering Student Killed After Train Run Over

An 18-year-old girl, studying engineering was killed after being hit by a train while crossing the tracks at Palghar railway station. The incident was confirmed by the Railway Police on February 22. The deceased was a student of St John College of Engineering at Palghar and was hit by August Kranti Express. The details of the deceased is yet to be known and an investigation is underway.

Maharashtra Man Stabs Wife At Church Gate Station, Arrested

In Maharashtra's Church Gate, a 39-year-old man stabbed his wife in front of her family, on October 10. The man has been arrested by the Railway Police and a case has been registered against the accused identified as Rohan Naik. Speaking of details, Rohan was angry with his wife, after being slapped by brother-in-law, and committed the crime. Meanwhile, the victim is currently being treated at JJ Hospital.

4 Held For Carrying 32 Kg Gold Jewellery Worth Rs 16 Crore In Train: Odisha

The Government Railway Police (GRP) detained four persons on March 2, for carrying 32 kg of gold jewellery worth Rs 16 crore, without valid GST documents. The detainees, identified as Suresh Sahadev, Mahesh Bhomsar, Deepak Patel and Hasmukhlal Jain, were carrying the gold ornaments in the Mumbai-Bhubaneshwar Konark Express. "We will collect 3 percent GST and 3 percent penalty from these gold ornaments," said GST officer Manmath Pradhan.

Woman Constable Saves Passenger From Falling Under Moving Train

A woman constable’s timely and quick response saved a passenger who fell while trying to board a moving train at the Lucknow railway station. The Ministry of Railways on February 23 posted a video of Vinita Kumari saving the woman. While the video has garnered over 49.7k views, the netizens hailed Vinita as a hero for her actions. Through Twitter, the Railway Ministry further advised people to not board moving trains.
