Gujarat Goods 16 Coaches Derailed Near Mangal Railway Station In Gujarat

In Gujarat's Dahod district. a goods train derailed near Mangal Mahudi railway station causing disruption in the rail traffic movement, on July 18. As per sources, 16 coaches of the train derailed between Mangal Mahudi - Limkheda stations, which disturbed the power supply. Train Derails Due To Blast On Tracks In Jharkhand's Dhanbad Division

Owing to a blast in Jharkhand's Dhanbad division, a section of a railway track between Garwa Road and Barkana section got damaged on the early morning of November 20. ''Explosion by a miscreant led to the derailment of diesel loco by 2 wheels,'' said Rajesh Kumar, CPRO, ECR. No reports of injury or casualty are reported so far. The explosion reportedly was planted by a member of Naxal groups.

Saidabad Case: Accused Jumps In Front Of Train And Dies

The lead accused in the "Saidabad case" (sexual assault and murder of a six-year-old girl), has died on the railway tracks at Telangana's Ghanapur station, on September 16. Reportedly, the accused was chased by authorities and eventually jumped in front of a train, due to the fear of being caught. Authorities were on a lookout for accused Raj since September 9 and tracked him down eventually using a CCTV footage.

SC Allows Felling Of 4,108 Trees For New Mathura-Jhansi Railway Track

The Supreme Court on January 29 permitted Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd to axe 4,108 trees in the Taj Trapezium Zone to build a new Mathura-Jhansi railway track.
