Railways To Have Signages For Ease Of Passengers

Signages at railway stations across India will be standardised on the basis of colour, font and the use of pictograms for the ease of passengers, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Monday as he released a booklet containing details of the project. World's Highest Railway Bridge On Chenab River To Be Equipped With Golden Joint

The "Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project" of Indian Railways is nearing completion of the world's highest single-arch railway bridge across the Chenab River. The bridge spans a 272-km railway line and is 359 meters high. The bridge will also have a "Golden Joint" that connects the two sides of the bridge. The golden joint will connect the two bridge segments and the bridge overarch deck using High Strength Friction Grip bolts.
