Tamil Nadu Govt Announces Closure Of Educational Institutions Amid Heavy Rain
In wake of the major rainfall reported in Tamil Nadu, authorities in the state’s Ramanathapuram district have announced holidays for all educational institutes. On October 10, Tamil Nadu has been witnessing heavy rains while the meteorological department forecasted for the next few days. Moreover, Thunderstorms are likely to induce the rains and the climatic condition is likely to continue till October 12, MeT forecast read.

Delhi's Night Temperature Is Record Low With Second Highest Rainfall Since 2007
The national capital received the second highest rainfall since 2007 in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am, according to the India Meteorological data on Sunday. The city weathered near ceaseless rains, measuring 74mm till 8.30 am Sunday. The rainfall brought the maximum temperature on Saturday down by 10 notches, closing in the day-night temperature gap to a record low.

Several Parts Of Mumbai Waterlogged; IMD Predicts Rainfall For Next 24 Hours
The city of Mumbai is experiencing water-logging across several areas due to incessant heavy rainfall, on October 8. The IMD has predicted that Mumbai will receive moderate to heavy rain with a cloudy sky, for the next 24 hours. IMD has also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Yanam in the upcoming couple of days.

Sydney Records Wettest Year Since 1858; More Heavy Downpour Expected In Australia
Australia’s Sydney recorded the wettest year in 164 years, with heavy downpour and major floods reported across several parts of the nation. Sydney has recorded 2,213 mm of rain, with three more months to go in 2022. The previous such record was in 1950, when Australia’s largest city of Sydney received 2,194 mm of rainfall. Meanwhile, the city is expected to receive more downpour in the coming days and weeks.

Mumbai Weather Dept Predicts Intense Rainfall For Next 24 Hours
The Mumbai Meteorological department issued rain alert in the Maharashtra Capital. As per the weather department, heavy showers are predicted on August 16 and August 17, causing trouble to commuters due to water logging and heavy traffic.
