Pakistan Floods: Death Toll In Balochistan Rises To 130

The rains in Pakistan have worsened and the death toll due to rain and flood-related deaths in the Balochistan province has reached 130. Reportedly, the flood situation is bad in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. On the contrary, situation in Balochistan's Lasbela district has slightly improved, after the traffic was restored on the Quetta-Karachi highway on July 31, after almost a week.

Building Collapsed In Delhi's Mustafabad, Rescue Operations Underway

In Delhi's  Mustafabad area, a three-storey building collapsed on July 24, confirmed the Delhi Fire Service. In the incident, the fire services rescued four people and a search operation is underway to find more persons who are trapped underneath the rubble. The incident was reported at around 5 am, on July 24, following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, said Atul Garg, Director, Delhi Fire Service.

Godavari River Water Flow Crosses Danger Mark, Officials Issue Alert: Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh. the flood flow at the Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage at Dowaleswaram crossed the 24 lakh cusecs mark, confirmed irrigation officials on July 16. Amid continuous rainfall, the watermark is expected to rise and is affecting nearly 300 villages under 42 mandals in six districts. The state disaster management authority issued serious alerts, especially in the Konaseema district, the worst hit region amid flood-like situations.

IMD Issues 'Red Alert' To Several Districts In Maharashtra Due To Heavy Rains

IMD has issued 'Red Alert' to the city of Mumbai and adjoining areas including Thane and Palghar, due to heavy rains, on July 8. The region is expected to receive 200 mm of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, a red alert has also been issued to Pune, Satara, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur. Also, strong winds reaching up to 50 kms can be expected.

Normal Life In Rajouri, Poonch Affected Due To Inclement Weather: J&K

Rains lashed twin districts of Rajouri & Poonch in Jammu, while higher reaches received snowfall on January 4, due to which normal life was affected. Flights Delayed, Roads Shut Amid Snowfall In Kashmir

Several roads in far-off areas of Kashmir closed, while flights were delayed at Srinagar airport, after Kashmir valley received fresh snowfall. An official has said that Srinagar recorded rain and snowfall of 7.1 mm since overnight till morning of January 4. Notably, Kashmir valley is currently under the grip of 40 day long harsh period of winter,  which will be followed by a 20 day long "Chilla Baccha".

Flash Floods In Indonesia Kills 2 People, Leaves 1 Missing

At least two persons died and one went missing following the ''high-intensity rains on the morning of September 4'' that caused flash floods in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara. According to the country's National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the flood also destroyed five residential houses and forced 26 residents in the Inerie village to run away from their houses.
