Two pilots were killed when a Chhattisgarh government helicopter crashed at Raipur airport on the night of May 12. The event occurred during a flight training at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport. Eating chemically grown vegetables might be a part of life for most of us, but not for Chhattisgarh's Raipur-based Pushpa Sahu.  She decided in 2013 to grow organic vegetables at her home's terrace and feed her family. At present, Sahu cultivates over 100 types of plants, including vegetables, fruits, herbs, saving ''Rs 3,000 per month''. Besides, the initiative made her famous among locals as ''Hariyali Didi''.

The Raipur district police of Chhattisgarh on November 23 said that three men allegedly raped a minor girl in a moving car on November 17. Reportedly, one of the accused, named Himanshu Gupta, was an acquaintance of the 14-year-old victim. The accused had picked the girl from her house on the pretext of a joyride. The police said a case has been registered; however, the accused are on the run.
