Cab Overturns Near Magi Mohre In J&K’s Rajouri; 8 Injured
In Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, a cab overturned near Magi Mohre, injuring eight persons travelling in the car. Reportedly, the can was on its way from Bufliaz to Rajouri. Following the incident, the injured persons were rushed to the hospital for treatment, and are reportedly in a stable condition. Sub divisional police officer of Thanamandi Imitiaz Ahmed said that a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

Grenade Attack Leaves 1 Policeman Dead In J&K's Kulgam
Ahead of India's 75th Independence Day, a grenade was hurled at patrol in J&K's Kulgam district, killing one policeman on August 13. Earlier on August 11, four officials including a junior commissioner officer were killed, as terrorists attempted to storm an army camp in J&K's Rajouri district. Meanwhile, security has been tightened across the country to avoid any untoward incident leading to Independence day celebrations.

2 Terrorists Killed While Attempting To Infiltrate Army Camp In J&K; 3 Soldiers Killed
In J&K's Rajouri, two terrorists attempted to infiltrate an army operating base in Darhal area. The infiltration led to the death of three army personnel. The infiltrators have also been killed. Following the incident, the area has been cordoned off, and additional troops have been dispatched. The attack has come days ahead of India's 75th Independence Day. Improvised Explosive Device Found Roadside In Jammu & Kashmir
The Security Forces on April 16, recovered a suspicious object from alongside the road, which turned out to be an "Improvised Explosive Device", on April 16. The object was spotted on Rajouri Road, Jammu and Kashmir. Security Forces then transported the object to a safer place and destroyed it. The IED has been recovered a day after independent Sarpanch Manzoor Ahmad Bangroo was allegedly killed by terrorists.

People Celebrate 'Bhairon Jhanki' Festival Ahead Of Holi In J&K's Rajour
Following the decades-old tradition, people of Rajouri celebrated the 'Bhairon Jhanki' Festival in J&K, ahead of Holi. The festival lasts for eight days, where a person plays the role of Bhairon Baba, as a part of Jhanki. However, people believe that celebrating this festival will keep you away from disease and fear. "Since the festival has started, this place has not witnessed a drought," a local resident said.

Terrorist Killed, Infiltration Attempt Foiled In J&K's Rajouri
A terrorist was shot down by the Indian Army while foiling an infiltration attempt along the LoC in Rajouri district's Bhimber Gali sector in Jammu and Kashmir on November 26. The body of the terrorist along with his weapon and ammunition has also been recovered, said Jammu-based defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anana. He added that the anti-insurgency operation is in progress after nine soldiers were killed.

Army Chief Reviews Security Preparedness In J&K's Poonch & Rajouri
Amid the counter-infiltration operations in Jammu and Kashmir, Army Chief General M M Naravane reviewed the security preparedness in Rajouri and Poonch districts in the state on October 19. The Army chief arrived on a two-day visit in Jammu on the afternoon of October 18. Reportedly, nine security personnel have lost their lives so far during the combat against terrorists in the state.

Rajouri Encounter: 2 Terrorists Killed During Operation In J&K
Two terrorists were gunned down in cross-firing in the Rajouri district of J&K on August 6. The armed forces and the J&K police were conducting a joint operation to track a group of militants in the Thanamandi forest belt area where the incident occurred. "It is a group of three to four terrorists of which two are foreign terrorists," Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh said.

More Than 80% Of Bunkers Constructed At LOC To Protect Civilians
