Jammu-Srinagar Highway Remains Blocked Due To Shooting Stones
In J&K's Ramban, the Jammu-Srinagar highway continues to remain blocked since July 20, due to shooting stones. Following incessant rains, which led to shooting stones, the 270 km highway has been blocked. After announcing about the road blockage, Deputy Commissioner of Ramban Massrat ul Islam said that "it is raining heavily in Ramban". Meanwhile, NHAI has dispatched officials to help clear the stretch.

Curfew Remains In Effect In Jammu & Kashmir For Second Consecutive Day

Curfew Announced, Internet Suspended In Jammu's Bhaderwah Over Social Media Posts
Following tensions over some social media posts, in Bhaderwah town of Jammu's Doda district, a curfew has been imposed and internet were suspended, on June 10. The move has come after a video went viral, in which an instigating announcement was made from a mosque in Bhaderwah. Reportedly, internet services have been cut in Kishtwar and Ramban districts. Meanwhile, two FIRs have been filed in the matter.

Ramban Tunnel Collapse: Centre Forms Expert Panel, Gives 10 Days Time For Investigation
Centre has formed an expert panel to probe into the Ramban tunnel collapse incident in J&K. The incident occurred on May 19, in which 10 labourers were trapped and killed, and two were seriously injured. The committee has been tasked with submitting a detailed report within 10 days, finding the reasons for such frequent incidents and remedial measures. Reportedly, the panel is headed by IIT professor JT Shahu.

Jammu-Srinagar Highway Open For One-way Traffic Amid Heavy Snowfall: J&K
The Jammu-Srinagar highway shall remain open for only one-way traffic on January 15, from 9 am to 1 pm for light motors. "No vehicles will be allowed before and after the timings from Nagrota in Jammu, strictly," said Traffic Inspector Rakesh Kumar. The highway was closed due to heavy snowfall and landslides. Reportedly, many truck drivers who got stuck on the highway blamed transport management authorities for their losses.
