Remove Loudspeakers In Mosques, Says Raj Thackeray

Addressing party workers, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray asked for the removal of loudspeakers from mosques. On April 3, he said, "putting loudspeakers in front of the mosques and play Hanuman Chalisa". The statement came amid the beginning of Ramzan, the Holy Month of Muslims. He also claimed that people residing in Muslim areas of Mumbai are "Pakistani supporters" and asked the PM Modi to raid these areas.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath Extends Ramzan Greetings

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath extended wishes for the holy month of Ramzan, on April 2. The BJP leader tweeted, "Keeping the heritage and tradition intact in view of Corona infection, people should take all precautions and do religious work during Ramzan". Speaking of the importance of Ramzan, Yogi said, noble deeds like fasting, service to humanity, and devotion to good bring patience, self-discipline, tolerance, and simplicity.

Delhi HC Permits Re-Opening Of Nizamuddin Markaz For Ramzan

Delhi High Court allowed to re-open certain areas of Nizamuddin Markaz during Ramzan. On April 1, Justice Jasmeet Singh reviewed a plea filed by the Delhi Waqf Board, seeking re-opening of the mosque. The HC order read, "It is directed that for Ramadan, namaz and religious prayers shall be permitted to be offered on the ground floor and four floors at Masjid Bangle Wali." The arrangements are allowed till Eid-Ul-Fitr.

Maharashtra Govt Lifts All COVID-19 Restrictions: Jitendra Awhad

In a relief to Maharashtra citizens, the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government announced to lift all COVID-19 curbs in the State. On March 31, minister Jitendra Awhad announced the decision, in light of the declining number of COVID-19 cases in the state. He also said, the people of Maharashtra are allowed to celebrate festivals; Ramzan, Gudipadwa and BR Ambedkar Birth Anniversary in April. Official notification will reportedly be issued soon.

Delhi HC Permits 50 Devotees To Offer Namaz At Nizamuddin Markaz

The Delhi High Court's Justice Pratibha M Singh issued an order allowing 50 devotees to offer Nawaz at the Nizamuddin Markaz. If all the other religious place in Delhi are functional, then Markaz should also allow to offer Nawaz, says Delhi HC. Earlier, the Delhi Wafq Board had initially requested to permit 50 people each on all the three floors.
