Independent MLA Booked In Ranchi Over Allegations Misuse Of Covid Funds

Saryu Roy, an independent MLA in Ranchi has been booked over his allegations of misuse of Covid-related fund money against the state Health Minister. An FIR has been filed under the MLA under the Official Secrets Act, Sections 409/379/411/120B and 420 of the IPC. Earlier, Roy had demanded action against Health Minister Banna Gupta. He was later served a legal notice by Gupta.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Admitted To AIIMS Amid Health Conditions

Following a major health issue, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav has been shifted to AIIMS Delhi. Notably, he was being treated at RIMS in Jharkhand, but due to kidney and heart related issues, Yadav's health condition worsened, and he was referred to AIIMS in Delhi. Notably, Lalu Prasad Yadav has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment and Rs 60 lakh fine in a money laundering case.

PM Modi Inaugurates Bhawan Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan In Ranchi

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bhagwan Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan on November 15 in Jharkhand's Ranchi via video conferencing. It will also be known as Freedom Fighter Museum. Munda was born on November 15 in 1875. ''He always fought to protect the interests of the tribal society,'' tweeted PM Modi.

Four Held On Charges Of Gang-Rape Of Minor Girl In Jharkhand

In Jharkhand's Rachi, a 13-year-old girl was brutally gang-raped by seven men on August 26. Reportedly, the incident took place when the victim went to meet a minor-accused friend who was waiting with the other six accused. SP Naushad Alma said that they registered a case against the men and arrested four minor accused. However, two accused are on the run.
