Randeep Surjewala Calls BJP, Its Supporters "Rakshas', Draws Criticsm
Randeep Singh Surjewala, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP, is alleged to have used derogatory language in reference to the BJP and its followers, labeling them as 'Rakshas’. Surjewala's remarks during the Congress 'Jan Akrosh rally' held in Kaithal, Haryana, drew political reactions and criticism. "Those aligned with the BJP and the JJP are termed 'rakshas' (monsters), and the same label is applied to supporters," said Surjewala.

Sonia Gandhi Admitted To ICU Due To Covid-19 Related Issues: Delhi
The Congress party officials confirmed that Party President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to ICU, at Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi. On June 12, she was taken due to COVID-related issues and is said to be under stable condition. Randeep Surjewala, the INC Spokesperson said, "She is stable and will be kept at the hospital for observation". Recently, Gandhi was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was under home isolation.

Sonia Gandhi Tests Positive For COVID-19, Confirms Spokesperson
Congress President Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19, on June 2. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala confirmed the same saying, that Gandhi developed a mild fever on June 1 evening and took Covid-19 test, and resulted positive. Furthermore, Sonia Gandhi has isolated herself as per medical advice. Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19, a day after ED summoned Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi for an alleged money laundering case.
