Rani Elephant

Rani, an 83-year-old female jumbo who was also the world's third oldest Asiatic elephant, has died at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. Besides, the zoo has also reported the loss of a 21-year-old leopard Ayyappa who succumbed to multiple-organ failure on June 9. Interestingly, Rani was a gift to the zoo by Hyderabad's last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan. Reportedly, the animals have died due to age-related ailments.
