Married Man Gets Bail After He Offers To Marry Minor He Impregnated

Kerala Church Face Strong Criticism Over Defending The Rape Accused Bishop

Kerala's Syro Malabar Church has defended the criticism drawn towards the rape-accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal, whose photograph has been printed in the 2021 calendar. Re-instating his Bishop post, the Church said that the rape charges against him are not proved yet. According to the reports, Mulakkal who headed the Jalandhar diocese of Church, is facing trial for allegedly raping a nun during 2014-16 in Kottayam (Kerala.)

Hathras Rape Accused Writes To Police, Says Victim's Family Killed Her

Sandeep Thakur, the primary accused of the Hathras rape case, wrote to the UP Police that the victim's family has killed the girl. The letter read Sandeep and the victim were friends and her family had problems with it. Reportedly, the letter also mentioned that the victim's mother and brother used to physically torture her as she was in touch with Sandeep. However, the victim's family has called the allegations false.

Woman Raped in Private Bus Travelling From Lucknow to Delhi

A woman, while traveling to her home in Delhi from Lucknow on August 29, was allegedly raped by a cleaner inside a private bus. According to the police, "She called the 112 helpline on August 29 morning when the bus reached Mant toll plaza in Mathura and informed us about the rape by the bus cleaner."  Reportedly, the woman underwent a medical examination and the accused has been arrested.

Rape Accused Held after Open Fire with Police in UP's Greater Noida

A rape accused was held after a gunfight with the police, after a 12-year-old girl from Greater Noida was allegedly raped on August 25. When police reached the accused's location, he opened fire at them. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women Safety) Vrinda Shukla informed, "the case was challenging as the accused was wearing a face mask at the time of the crime and there was no eyewitness for the incident".
