A Bengaluru netizen shared a story of his Rapido driver, who showed up with a most dramatic-filmy entry. Ntish Patel said, he booked a rapido bike taxi, and his driver turned up in a Royal Enfield, with full swag. Not only this, the rider was an engineer full time employed with Kubernetes clusters, as DevOp head. Furthermore, in another twist, the rider and the customer, were associated with same company.

'No Two Wheeler Taxis On Streets Of Delhi As Of Now,' Says Top Court

In a major setback for Rapidos and Uber moto Taxis, the Supreme Court said, "You can't run on streets as of now". In a hearing the Top Court said until the Delhi Government frames a policy for two-wheeler bikes, moto-taxis can't be on the streets. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi Government said they will frame a policy for two-wheeler taxis by June 30.

Banned Bike Taxis To Run On Delhi Roads Soon Again: Kailash Gahlot

In a relief to bike taxis, the Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that the law department has cleared the aggregator policy, which will help bike taxis like Ola, Uber moto and Rapido to ply on roads again. Recently, bike taxi services were stopped in Delhi, resulting in massive protests and unemployment to bike taxi drivers. Adopted in couple of months, new policy will allow electric bikes in Delhi.

Why Govt Is Not Banning Alcohol But Taxi Bikes? Ask Bike Drivers

Thousands of ola, rapido and uber bike drivers questioned the recent ban on taxi bikes citing violation of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. A rapid driver said, "How govt can ban it if it is feeding more than 20k families?" He further said, "If they are really concerned about the laws and morality, why don't they impose a ban on the sale of alcohol as it can kill the consumer."
