President Kovind To Visit Uttarakhand On March 26 & 27

President Ram Nath Kovind is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand on March 26 and 27. The announcement of President Kovind was confirmed by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, on March 25. As per the PTI, the issued statement read, on March 27, "the president will grace and address the concluding ceremony of the silver jubilee celebrations of Divya Prem Seva Mission in Haridwar".

President Kovind To Confer Padma Awards 2022

President of India Ram Nath Kovind, is going to confer 2022 Padma Awards to 64 awardees, including Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards. The civil investiture ceremony will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in Delhi. General Bipin Rawat (posthumous), N Chandrasekharan and Radhey Shyam are some of the prominent awardees. Furthermore, Civil Investiture Ceremony II is scheduled to be held on March 28.

Assam Singer Dulal Manki Receives Padma Shri Award

President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma Shri award to Assamese singer Dulal Manki on November 9 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Reportedly, a total of 10 Padama Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awards were planned for this year. The 102 awardees include 29 women, 16 posthumous awardees, and one transgender. The Padma Awards are announced every year on January 24, a day before Republic Day.

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut was conferred with the Padma Shri Award 2020 in Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on November 8. She received the award from President Ram Nath Kovind. The event was also attended by PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and others. The Padma Shri Award, which is the fourth-highest civilian honour in the country, will be granted to 102 persons this year.

President Kovind Moved Out Of ICU; 'Recovering Well' Tweets Rashtrapati Bhavan

After bypass surgery, President Ram Nath Kovind has moved out of the ICU AIIMS-Delhi on April 3, and has been shifted to a special room. The Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted, the doctors are constantly monitoring and our president is recovering well. Earlier, due to chest pain, President Kovind was admitted on March 27 after undergoing a health checkup at the Army Hospital.

Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha Appointed As Chief Information Commissioner

Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha took oath as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) on November 7, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The oath was administered by President Ram Nath Kovind. Appointed after a two-month vacancy, Sinha will replace former CIC Bimal Julka and will have a three-year term as the CIC. The 62-year-old diplomat has served as India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka.
