Maharashtra Govt Approves Diwali Package For Ration Card Holders
Amid festive season, the Maharashtra Government led by Eknath Shinde announced a Diwali package. October 4, the Maharashtra Cabinet approved Diwali package for ration card holders, announced Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He said ration card holders will get in Rs 100 rava, sugar, Chana Dal and edible oil. The announced offer would be eligible to people holding White Ration cards in the State.

Pakistan Denies Ration To Flood-Affected Victims Without ID Cards
Pakistan administration is accused of demanding original computerized national Identify cards, for providing ration to the flood-affected persons. Some people are complaining that the administration is demanding for the ID cards, even after they've lost all their belongings in floods. Another person said that the ID cards weren't given for everybody. "How can a family of 10 survive with one card's ration?", said a victim.

Karnataka Govt To Begin Doorstep Delivery Of Ration From Nov 1
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on October 16 announced the state government is set to launch delivering rations to residents' doorsteps from November 1 in Bengaluru. Reportedly, the initiative, part of the ''Jana Sevak Scheme'' that is to be launched on January 26, will cover all 28 assembly constituencies. As a part of this program, wheat, flour, rice, and sugar will be supplied to people's residences.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote to the Lt Governor that the decision for the doorstep delivery of ration has attained finality. Besides, it does not need Anil Baijal, the Lt Governor's approval. “Hon’ble L-G’s insistence on referring the matter to the central government for its approval does not appear correct. The approval of the Centre is neither mandated nor necessary,” Kejriwal said.

Tamil Nadu: CM Launches Mobile Fair Price Shops Across The State
Tamil Nadu CM K Palaniswami on September 21 launched mobile fair price shops across the state. The scheme was initially launched in the remote hilly areas of three districts by former CM Jayalalithaa. According to the scheme, a salesman from the parent ration shop will deliver the rations to people every month. Reportedly, 3,501 mobile fair price shops were announced to serve 5.37 lakh ration card holders across the state.
