Twitter Is Now Responsible For Tweets, Loses Intermediary Status
The ongoing tussle between the Indian government and Twitter has escalated further, as the platform has now lost its intermediary status. Although Twitter is currently responsible for the mistake of any of its users' tweets, it may get relief as a third party if it complies with the new IT rules in India. Notably, UP police has named Twitter in an FIR in connection with an incident in Ghaziabad.
