3 Arrested In Jammu & Kashmir; Army Recovers Pistols, Chinese Grenades
Army apprehended three people in Kashmir on January 28, after the recovery of two pistols and Chinese grenades from their possessions. According to the Indian army, a joint mobile vehicle check-post was established at Shuhama, while these three tried to flee after bring signalled to stop at the post. However, further investigation in the case is underway.

Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar Is Doing Well, Says Family
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is recovering well and is currently in the ICU, her family informed. She was recently tested positive for Coronavirus with mild symptoms and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on January 8. Later, she suffered pneumonia and was treated. Lata is known as Nightingale of India. She has been lauded with numerous awards, & is also a recipient of the Bharat Ratna Award.

Bangladesh Reports 1,116 New COVID Cases In 24 Hours
In the past 24 hours, 1,116 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Bangladesh, taking the overall tally to 1,592,209, with most cases recorded in Dhaka. Around 154 people recovered, while 19,275 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 5.79 percent. As per figures, the recovery rate is 97.39 percent, and the mortality rate is 1.76 percent.

Over 300 Deaths & 25,072 Covid Positive Cases In Last 24 Hours
As many as 25,072 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in India, which has contributed a 3,24,49,306. The number of death of Covid-19 patients has been increased by 389 taking the count to 4,34,756. According to the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, 44,157 patients have recovered from the virus. Besides, 58.25 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been applied to citizens across the country since January 2021.
