Family Of 4 Sri Lankan Refugees Arrive At Tamil Nadu's Ramanathapuram Via Boat
In Tamil Nadu's Ramanathapuram, a family of four Sri Lankan Tamils arrived at Mandapam district, calling themselves "refugees", on August 13. The four were mother and three children, who reportedly hailed from Sri Lanka's Trikonamalai. Reportedly, the family arrived at Ramanathapuram's beach area via boat, at around 4 am. Over 134 Sri Lankan refugees have arrived so far, informed Q branch police.

500 Afghans Can Stay In Poland But Only For Three Months: Govt
Poland will provide accommodation to about 500 Afghan evacuees, in the country for three months, who worked for NATO, said PM Mateusz Moraickit's close aide Michal Dworaczyk on September 3. After three months, up to 50 persons will get a chance to stay in Poland and the rest have to leave the country, Dworaczyk added. Besides, Poland has evacuated around 1,300 afghans from Kabul.

Canada Won't Recognize Taliban Govt: PM Justin Trudeau

India Announces 'E-Emergency X-Misc Visa' To Fast-Track Applications
As the Taliban takes over Afghanistan, many countries including the US, Canada, India, and others are making efforts to evacuate people from the war-torn nation. In the wake of this, to help the Afghan refugees, the Union Home Ministry on August 17 announced a new category of visa, 'e-Emergency X-Misc Visa' that will help fast-track the process for their entry into India. Moreover, the Hindu and Sikh communities will be prioritised.
