Austria To Become First Country In Western Europe To Reimpose Lockdown

The government of Austria on November 19 said it's set to reimpose lockdown due to increasing COVID-19 cases, making it the first country in western Europe to take this step. Reportedly, the lockdown will come into effect on November 22 and last for 20 days, which would help curb the active cases during the Christmas holidays. ''The blanket requirement to get vaccinated will start on February 1,'' said Alexander Schallenberg, Chancellor.
