Zee 5, an OTT platform, has announced that Taapsee Pannu's 'Rasmi Rocket' to be released on October 15. The film is based on the real-life of athlete Nanda Periyasamy's ''girt and a never-say-die attitude." It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and Mango People Media and directed by Akarsh Khurana. The film also stars Supriya Pathak, Abishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli and Supriya Pilgaonkar.

In the latest development, the makers of ''RRR'' on September 11 decided to postpone the release date of the movie until further announcement. Sharing the development, RRR Movie wrote on Twitter, ''We're postponing the release but cannot announce a new date with theatres indefinitely closed.'' The movie directed by SS Rajamouli also stars actors such as Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, and Alison Doody.

Reliance Jio has extended the release date of JioPhone Next to November 4 from September 10, witnessing the upcoming festival Diwali. Reportedly, the company took this decision due to the current global semiconductor shortages inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. The release of "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has been postponed from September 24 to October 15 by "Sony Pictures" due to a surge of Delta variant cases in the U.S. The movie was originally scheduled to release on October 2, 2020, but was later postponed due to the pandemic. A study conducted by "National Research Group" stated that only 67% of the people are comfortable in going to theatres.

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film ''Bell Bottom'' is set to release in theatres on August 19.
