The US based Sanmina Group has formed a Joint Venture with Reliance Industries for electronics manufacturing in India. In addition, Reliance Industries would reportedly invest Rs 16.7 billion for the deal. The project will deliver hardware for 5G communications, cloud infrastructure, healthcare systems, clean technology, defense and aerospace. Notably, Reliance will hold a 50.1% stake in the joint venture after the investment. 

JIoBook, a laptop, product of Reliance Jio partnered with China’s Bluebank Communication Technology and is rumored to be released in the market this festive season. According to reports the device will be supported by a Qualcomm processor along with 4 GB RAM and is priced under INR 30,000. As per listing on the certification website it may come in three different variants to offer customers a varied choice.

Reliance Retail (RIL), owned by Mukesh Ambani may acquire the Indian franchise of the world's largest single-brand restaurant chain, Subway. The acquisition is worth $200-$250 million. This comes in the wake of Subway's Chief Executive John Chidsey's attempts to restructure its sales strategies as it took a hit due to the pandemic. Reportedly, the RIL will gain around 600 Subway stores across India when the acquisition is on board.

Stating that port-out requests have significantly increased, Reliance Jio has accused Bharti Airtel and Vi of using the farmers' protest for 'unethical' campaigning. In a letter to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio mentioned that Airtel and Vi had allegedly campaigned a switch from Jio would support the protesting farmers.
