Punjab: Reliance Appeals In High Court Against Vandalism Of Mobile Towers
Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio on January 4 approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court after over 1600 telecom towers of the company were allegedly vandalised by the protesting farmers in the states. Blaming the competitors, Jio has alleged that the act was instigated by "business rivals". The petition also stated that the company has never been in farming nor it has plans to enter the business.

Jio Makes All Domestic Voice Calls Free From January 1
Reliance Jio has announced to offer free voice calls to any network in India starting January 1, 2021. Reportedly, telecom giant scrapped Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC) to make all domestic calls over other networks free. Jio said that it has shown its commitment to not charge for off-net voice call-charges as the IUC provisions have been abolished by the telecom regulator TRAI. Moreover, it stated it cares about its customers.

Jio Accuse Airtel, Vodafone Of 'Unethical' Campaigns

Netflix Growth Expected to Recover in Asia After Partnering With Jio
Netflix India's alliance with Reliance Jio has resulted in a major influence and growth in Asia. According to a report by Media Partners Asia (MPA), in the third quarter, the net-subscribers for the platform had slowed to 1 million. However, during the fourth quarter, the researchers have predicted the growth to recover under the new partnership. The report estimates Netflix to rise with 4.6 million subscribers by year-end.
