Health Ministry Releases Rs 1,300 Cr Covid Relief Package For Northeast

The health ministry under the Covid relief package will dispense a fund of Rs 1,300 to the Northeast to combat pandemics. The announcement was made by the Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on August 17. "The fund will also be utilized to speed up the vaccination drive by the states in the region. The government of India is committed to providing enough vaccines to the states," Mandaviya said.

J&K To Receive Economic Fund of Rs 1350 Crore; 50% Concession on Electricity and Water

Lietuanant General of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha, announced a relief package of Rs 1350 Crore for the Union Territory. Pertaining to the package, a concession of 50% over the amount of electricity and water bills over a year is provided. Sinha also confirmed that upto March 2021, stamp duty has been exempted for all borrowers. "This economic package is historic in terms of volume and reach," he added.
