PMLA Court Remands Sanjay Raut To ED Till August 4: Maharashtra

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has been remanded to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) until August 4. Notably, Raut was arrested in a money laundering and land scam case in the redevelopment of Mumbai's Patra Chawl, which is being investigated by the ED. He was arrested on late July 31 evening, after the ED raided his house and seized Rs 11.50 lakhs. A Special PMLA court gave judicial custody orders.

AltNews Co-Founds Files Petition In Delhi HC, Challenges His Judicial Custody

Arrested by the Delhi Police, the AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair, moved the Delhi High Court (HC) challenging his judicial custody, in 2018 sedition case. The matter has been listed for review before Justice Sanjeev Narula, on July 1. Notably, Zubair was alleged for posting an objectionable tweet against a Hindu deity. Notably, a trial court granted four-day judicial custody of remand, for further investigation into the case.

Vlogger Arrested, Remanded For Abusing CM Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal

West Bengal Vlogger Roddur Roy was arrested on charges of hurling abuses at CM Mamata Banerjee and TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee. Famous social media vlogger, Roy has been remanded for five days' police custody by a city court. Roy, whose real name is Anirban, was banned by a team of Kolkata Police officers in Goa, brought back to Kolkata, and was charged under IPC sections, and remanded till June 14.

Mumbai Blast 1993 Case, 4 Accused Remanded With CBI

A Mumbai court remanded four accused linked in Mumbai blast 1993 riot with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI,)  on May 24.  As per sources, Abu Bakar alias Abdul Gafoor, Syed Qureshi alias Rahat Jan Qureshi, Mohammad Shoaib Qureshi alias Shoaib Bawa, and Mohammad Yusuf Ismail alias Yusuf Bhatka were held by Gujarat's Anti-Terrorist Squad and have been remanded terror outrage, which claimed over 250 lives and left 700 injured.
