Shree Jagannath Temple Reopens After 3 Days: Odisha

The iconic Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri has been reopened for devotees after three days of closing, on December 3. Reportedly, the Temple administration had decided to close the 12th-century temple on December 31 to avoid big crowds of devotees around New Year considering the spread of COVID-19, as per PTI. However, the priests and servitors continually performed all rituals during the three days, said an official.

Maharashtra To Reopen Worship Places & Schools In Early October

Following the brief meetings with COVID-19 task forces, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackery has confirmed that schools and worship places will reopen in early October in the state. Schools will reopen from October 4 for classes 5-12 in rural areas while 8-12 in urban areas, and worship places will reopen from October 7 in adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. Residential and boarding schools will remain closed for the time being.

Physical Classes Are Way Better Than Online: Delhi Students

Schools in Delhi have been reopened for students of classes 9 to 12 on September 1 following the permission of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). However, online classes will continue for those students who're at home due to the menace of COVID-19. Moreover, the students were cheerful and said, ''Physical classes are way better than online classes." However, several parents have also supported the decision of opening schools.

UP Govt To Reopen School, Colleges And Universities

Considering the decline of COVID-19 cases, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has approved the decision to reopen schools for class 12 students with 50% capacity in the state from August 16. Moreover, the CM also allowed the reopening of colleges and universities from September 1. Yogi government has directed universities and colleges to begin their entrance exams from August 5.
