Service Medals To 51 Maharashtra Policemen Announced Ahead Of Republic Day
Service medals have been announced by centre, on January 25, for 51 personnel of Maharastra Police on the occasion of Republic Day, said an official. The official further said that Union Home Ministry has released a list with names of the police officials. The awards which include, President's Medal for gallantry, medal for distinguished service, and medal for meritorious service, will be given to the police personnel.

R-Parade To Begin 30 Minutes Late, 1st Time In History
The Republic Day parade is set to begin 30 minutes late, from scheduled 10:00 am, on January 26. This will be the first time that the parade will begin late, amid COVID-19 restrictions and homage paid to security personnel who lost lives in Jammu and Kashmir on duty, said an official. New Parliament To Be Constructed By Dec, Says Union Minister Hardeep Puri
Union minister Hardeep Puri told the media on September 16 at the inauguration ceremony that the construction of new Parliament premises is expected to be completed by December 2021. Bhawana Kanth: 1st Woman Fighter Pilot To Appear At IAF's R-Day Tableau
IAF’s flight lieutenant Bhawana Kanth on January 26 created history after appearing with the Indian Air Force's (IAF) tableau at the Republic Day parade. She is the first woman fighter pilot to the feat. Based at the IAF's Rajasthan airbase, Bhawna flies the MiG-21 Bison fighter plane. She is also one of the first three women fighter pilots inducted into the Air Force. The tableau was titled 'Indian Air Force: Touch the Sky with Glory'.
