Amit Shah Justifies Scrapping Of Muslim Reservation In Karnataka

Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a comment over the recent scrapping of the Muslim Quota in Karnataka. In a recent public rally, Shah justified the scrapping of the quota and said, "The statue of Jagadjyoti Basaveshwara here will send across a message to the entire world that India is the mother of democracy," Amit Shah. Notably, in the poll-bound Karnataka, ruckus occurred due to scrapping of Muslim reservation.

Telangana Govt Raises ST Reservations By 4% Educational Institutions & Govt Services

The state government of Telangana has increased the reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) community by 4% in all educational institutions and government services. The new quota has come into immediate effect. The ST reservations in the state now stands at 10%, compared to the previous 6%. Reportedly, the move has been taken keeping in mind the 10% ST population in the state.
