Rahul Gandhi responded to the letter issued by the Lok Sabha Housing Committee, asking him to vacate his bungalow, after disqualification as the Lok Sabha Member. Reacting to it, Gandhi said, "Thank you for your letter... I will abide..." He further said, "Without prejudice to my rights, I will, of course, abide by the details contained in your letter”  Gandhi needs to vacate his government residence by April 23.

US federal investigators on August 12 seized 11 sets of secret documents from the Florida home of former President Donald Trump during an extraordinary search. These papers are part of a possible criminal breach of the Espionage Act and a few other laws. Trump is facing potential criminal charges in Georgia as a result of his efforts to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election in his favor.

Gnanendra Prasad, BJP member, was discovered dead at his home. When police officers from Miyapur arrived, they saw Prasad hanging from a fan. "The reason for his suicide is not known yet, but he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days," police added. A post-mortem investigation was then performed on the deceased at a nearby government hospital. A case has been filed and additional investigations are ongoing.
