Magnus Carlsen Resigns, Turn Off Camera From Live Chess Match

Shortly after making his first move, world champion Magnus Carlsen resigned from an online chess match against fellow grandmaster Hans Niemann. On September 20, the pair were playing in the Julius Baer Generation Cup when Carlsen turned off his screen and left the match without explanation. "We're going to try and get an update on this," said commentator Tania Sachdev in a live broadcast of the match on chess24.

BharatPe Likely To Sue Ashneer Grover Over 'Baseless Allegations'

BharatPe threatened to sue Ashneer Grover for 'hurling baseless allegations against the company'. On March 2, a day after Grover's resignation, the firm said that he is no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of BharatPe over alleged financial irregularities. "Minutes after Mr. Ashneer Grover received notice that some of the results of the inquiry would be presented to the Board, he quickly resigned," stated BharatPe.

BharatPe Founder Ashneer Grover Resigns After Losing Singapore Arbitration

Ashneer Grover, the founder and managing director of fintech unicorn BharatPe, has resigned as the managing director, on March 1. In addition, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) has refused his arbitration plea against the company for launching a probe against him. Notably, Grover holds 9.5% of the stake in the company worth Rs 1,915 crore along with Sequoia Capital, Coatue, Ribbit Capital, and Bee next.
