'Those Who Run Such News Reports Of Tejashwi Becoming RJD Chief Are Fools': Lalu Yadav

RJD chief Lalu Prasad has downplayed the speculations of him stepping down from the chief's post and being replaced by Tejashwi Yadav. "Those who run such news reports are fools. We will get to know whatever happens," Lalu Yadav said. Earlier, on February 4, the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also quashed the news of being made the party president. Meanwhile, on February 10, the national executive meeting is scheduled.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son and leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative assembly Tejashwi Yadav tied the knot with Rajshri in a low key event in New Delhi on December 9. His elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav shared some wedding pictures on his Twitter handle and tweeted, "Blessings to 'Arjun' for starting new innings of life." The wedding was also attended by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Appears Before Patna CBI Court: Fodder Scam

Lalu Prasad Yadav, former CM of Bihar and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in connection with the fodder scam in Patna on November 23. The CM is said to be involved in four different fodder scams during his CM tenure in Bihar. As of now, Mr. Yadav has been convicted in the Dumka Treasury case by Jharkhand High Court.

JD(U) Demands Action Against Tejashwi Yadav For Distributing Money

The JD(U) has demanded the Election Commission to ''take action'' against the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav alleging him of breaking the code of conduct before the upcoming panchayat election in Bihar. The demand came after Yadav was seen distributing money to purportedly some ''poor women'' in Gopalganj. ''If helping the poor and being sensitive amounted to a violation of rules, the party will not mind such violations,'' said RJD.
