Speeding Car Rams Into Parked Truck In Assam; 3 Dead
In Assam’s Kamrup (Metro) district, a speeding car rammed into a parked truck on October 6. The accident reportedly occurred on the roadside on National Highway 37 (NH37) at Nazirakhat area near Sonapur, which is about 25 kms from Guwahati. The incident left three persons dead, including the driver of the car, who died on the spot. The bodies were immediately sent for post-mortem.

Kanpur Road Accident Kills 26 Pilgrims, Rescue Operation Underway: Uttar Pradesh
The death toll in the Kanpur road accident rose to 26, confirmed police on October 2. As per ANI sources, in the Ghatampur area of Kanpur district, a tractor trolley carrying pilgrims from Chandika Devi Temple, Unnao district, overturned, resulting death of 26 people so far. Police have launched a rescue operation with locals, after the incident occurred on October 1. Furthermore, injured are being treated at community hospitals.

Cab Overturns Near Magi Mohre In J&K’s Rajouri; 8 Injured
In Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, a cab overturned near Magi Mohre, injuring eight persons travelling in the car. Reportedly, the can was on its way from Bufliaz to Rajouri. Following the incident, the injured persons were rushed to the hospital for treatment, and are reportedly in a stable condition. Sub divisional police officer of Thanamandi Imitiaz Ahmed said that a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

Truck Collides With Car In Rajasthan’s Barmer; 3 Dead, 2 Injured
In Rajasthan’s Barmer, a truck and a car collided, leaving three persons dead two others injured, on September 10. The accident reportedly occurred at Barmer district’s Gudamalani. The injured have been rushed to a hospital for treatment, Circle Officer Shubhkaran. Earlier on September 9, in another tragic accident, a jeep collided with a truck in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district, killing five persons and leaving a dozen others injured.

Girl Falls From Scooty In Bangalore’s Waterlogged Road, Gets Electrocuted: Karnataka
In Karnataka’s Bangalore, a 23-year-old girl after accidentally coming in contact with a live wire, died on September 6. The victim identified as Akhila, was returning home from work when her scooty skidded in a waterlogged road. When she attempted to grab an electric pole, she was electrocuted. The family of the deceased blamed the BBMP and the administration for improper handling for electricity and other systems.

J&K Kishtwar Accident: PM Modi Announces Rs 2 Lakh To Kin Of Deceased & Rs 50,000 To Injured
Following Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar accident, PM Modi announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of the deceased. The injured will be given Rs 50,000 ex-gratia under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Funds, informed PMO. The vehicle in which the victims traveled skidded off the road and plunged into a valley in Kishtwar, killing eight persons and leaving three others injured.

Truck Collides With Cruiser Jeep On Tumkur Highway; Leaves 9 Dead & 11 Injured
Near Karnataka’s Bangalore, on the national highway, a cruiser jeep collided with a truck killing nine persons and leaving 11 others injured, on August 25. The accident occurred near the city of Tumkur, around 70 kms from Bangalore. Reportedly, the jeep was carrying daily wage workers, and was on its way to Bangalore. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Van Collides With Private Omni Bus In Tamil Nadu’s Salem; 6 Dead, 5 Injured
In Tamil Nadu’s Salem district, a van collided with an omni bus on August 23. The collision caused the deaths of six persons, and left five others injured. Reportedly, the van which was going on a flyover collided head on with a private omni bus coming from the opposite direction. The injured persons have been admitted to Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical college hospital.

Truck & Tractor Ram Into Each Other In Rajasthan’s Pali; 5 Dead, 25 Injured
In Rajasthan’s Pali district, a tractor trolley and a truck rammed into each other resulting in a terrible accident in Sumerpur area, on August 20. The accident has left at least 25 injured and five dead. Following the accident, ambulances rushed to the spot, and the injured have been shifted to a hospital. PM Modi expressed his grief over the incident, and wished for a speedy recovery of the injured.
